“The IATSE Entertainment and Exhibition Industries Training Trust Fund (“IA Training Trust”) recognizes the need for continuous training and skills development to maintain the highest levels of professionalism and skills demanded of crafts persons working in the entertainment and exhibition industries. The IA Training Trust recognizes that the responsibility for training rests with those in the industry who are users of those skills. The IA Training Trust also recognizes that it is the workers’ responsibility to pursue advancement in performance of their crafts. It is the mission of the IA Training Trust to make available training opportunities needed by IATSE members to advance in their crafts and job performance. The IA Training Trust is a result of partnership between the IATSE and Signatory Employers to facilitate and make available opportunities for courses and programs designed to provide employees working under IATSE collective bargaining agreements the opportunity to attain and maintain a level of skill, ability and knowledge in their respective occupations, necessary to meet the ever changing technologies in the entertainment and exhibition industries.
It is a goal of the IA Training Trust to facilitate and sponsor training and skills development programs and courses thereby promoting industry-wide recognized standards for safety and craftsmanship in the entertainment and exhibition industries. Employees working in all crafts and classifications within the jurisdiction of the IATSE, will be eligible to benefit from the programs and courses offered through the IATSE Entertainment and Exhibition Industries Training Trust Fund.”
